Hello I am Jenna. An Alcohol ink artist from the UK. I live with my husband in Warwick, England. I grew up in a small Market town called Wetherby, in Yorkshire, (I love Yorkshire tea).

I have been creative ever since I can remember. My mum always used to sit and do crafts with my brother, sister and me. I did art up to A-levels and then changed direction to study childcare and get a degree in Psychology.

Art has always been a part of me, whether that's through makeup artistry, or doing arts and crafts with children in the school I worked at. My Granddad was an amazing oil painter and my sister is an illustrator, so I guess you can say art is in my blood.

After being on a big health journey with Fibromyalgia, Chronic fatigue and Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder, I figured out what was actually important to me and began to create a life that I feel in alignment with. I started to focus my recovery around my core values; art being one of them. I had to rebuild my strength in order to be able to paint again and that has given me great incentive and purpose.

In the spring of 2019, I discovered alcohol inks and instantly fell in love with the medium. They taught me a lot about letting go of perfectionism and helped me to go with the flow (literally). I find fluid art to be very therapeutic and it has become a form of meditation for me.

I love to paint intuitively; showing up with no expectation or desired outcome. I follow my intuition to create something truly magical and unique.

My work is inspired by the beauty of nature, with a focus around the ocean, flowers, the seasons and crystals. I love to surround myself in nature and find it to be very restorative. Nature offers us a soulful retreat and teaches us to slow down, be present and listen to what our soul needs.

I hope my paintings brighten your day. That they give you a sense of joy, wonder and freedom. And that they can be a little oasis of calm whenever you need it.

Some random fun facts about me:

Outside of painting, I enjoy Pilates, chai lattes & forest walks.

I love makeup! I could sit and play in it all day. Before I got ill, I trained as a Makeup Artist.

I love dogs, and would love to get a Minature Daschund one day.

I have a very slap-stick sense of humour which often gets me into trouble (I get it from my Nan, she used to love abit of ‘You’ve been framed’.

I’m into self-discovery & spirituality.

I’m 60.3% Scandinavian, 35.4% Irish, Scottish, Welsh, 3.1% Italian & 1.2% South Asian.

My star sign is Scorpio.

I collected Crystals, football stickers and lady birds as a kid.

My favourite soundtrack is ‘The Greatest Showman’.

My favourite soap is Home & Away.

I’m afraid of heights, spiders and cockroaches (one landed on my head on holiday once whilst I was sleeping and I’ve still not gotten over it).

My hidden talent is… I can ride a unicycle (or at least I could when I was younger!).

Thanks so much for reading and being part of my art journey. :)

Love and light,
Jenna x
